PSIS, is committed to provide industrial training wherever applicable and possible for the aspiring professionals of Hotel to Tourism, Media to Management and IT to Optometry industry. No stone is unturned. The institution is religiously contacting with the industry by which the students can get the best industrial exposure in his/ her respective domain. Degrees do not guarantee a job in this sub-continent, but we are trying to make it possible as we believe the old proverb "Impossible is a word which can only be found in the dictionary of the fools". PSIS, the cradle of professional and vocational education is amalgamating the curriculum and industry in an even proportion by which our students will be enough equipped to encounter the industry. In this knowledge park, we do trust the cardinal principle of classroom lectures so as the rational one, where the study transcends the boundary of classrooms and enters the training periphery of the industry. "Journalists are born, not made". But our endeavor is to make it. This is our mission, and we believe that this mission can only be accomplished with more industry interface. As per requirement of the contemporary media industry(read the most important pillar of democracy - the fourth estate), the Media Science department at PSIS sends selected students for internship and Industrial Training sessions on a regular basis. This has been our continuing effort to provide the students a comprehensive hands-on experience on the various aspects of media industry, which is absolutely necessary for becoming an accomplished media professional in the wide spectrum of media, starting from Print to Web, Ad to PR, Film to Television, Broadcasting media to Media Research etc. Pertaining to this objective we have already sent our students to various prominent media industry houses and this process will go on, as we believe that education should be always linked with the industry. Following are the media houses where we have sent our students, and also planning to send them in the future course of time. The toll will increase no doubt because in between we have already spoken with various media houses, which are not included in the given list. " The Statesman " Hindustan Times " AajKaal " UNI " Star Ananda " 24 Ghanta " Telegraph Online " 123 India.com " Lintus " Ritam Communications " Clubb R.P ( Khelte Khelte, Shakaler Aakaash, Jaachi) The ever rising demand curve, the most zooming industry of the millennium, yes we are talking about Hospitality industry. To meet the most happening industry's requirements, we are providing our students the best ever industrial training. The stalwarts of these sectors such as ITC Windsor, Hyatt Regency, Taj Residency, Taj Hotel Ambassador, Radisson Fort, The Park, ITC Sheraton Tower etc. have raised their benevolent hands to help our students in industrial training and placement whatsoever. The sector is widening, therefore no stone is unturned. The periphery of this industry is proliferating its wing in Airlines, Cruise Liners, and even banking sectors. The scope is wide, training facilities are widest, and placement is even crossing the superlative degree. The humdrum of a monotonous life enthuses the individual to break free and go out to explore the unseen. This yearning of the individual to venture out to new places is the fuel to the ever growing tourism industry. This 3 year program aims to prepare young minds for challenging managerial opportunities in tourism industry. The program provides a sound knowledge and skill relevant to the hospitality industry. To make this reverie into reality we are sending our students in the following organizations ITDC, WBTDC Cox & Kings, Thomas Cook, Orbit Business Tour, Mahindra Holiday, Sahara and many such tycoons of tourism industry.
