3-years, full-time Degree Programme comprising six semesters. This program aims to the students a broad based introduction to insurance related subjects while allowing the development of specialized interest and knowledge in the main business areas of marketing, personnel, finance, law and management information systems. The course aims to produce specialists for the insurance sector who will have the ability to approach problems in an analytical and systematic manner using information technology to provide information support for insurance decisions. It combines a study of insurance management and computing subjects with the merging of business and decision making processes and provide students with skills that give them the flexibility to adopt the future development.
Academic Qualification Requirements Candidates from any one of the following categories: Passed in/Appeared for 10+2 from any recognized Central/State Board of Higher Secondary Education, under 10+2 system in India/Bangladesh/Nepal/Bhutan/SriLanka/Myanmar.
Passed in/Appeared for Intermediate or 2-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University. Passed in/Appeared for Final Exam of the 2-year Course of the Joint Services Wing of the
NationalDefenceAcademy.
Passed the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the
NationalOpenSchool with minimum five subjects as per CBSE Scheme.
Extra Curricular Activity As per industry requirements, a comprehensive course on “Grooming-o-logy” will be conducted, during which a student will learn the basic intricacies of the following at no extra cost:
• How to carry oneself • Aspects of proper grooming • Dress Sense • Body Language • Preparation for interview • Communication skills both oratory and written.
Assessments Every semester, students shall have to take a written examination conducted by the West Bengal University of Technology. This would be supplemented by internal examinations and application project assignments.
5% of the seats are reserved for NRI/Sponsored candidates.
