3-years, full-time Degree Programme comprising six semesters.
This programme aims to give students a broad-based introduction to business subjects while allowing for the development of specialised interests and knowledge in the main business areas of Marketing, Personnel, Finance & Accounting, Law and Management Information Systems. The course aims to produce management scientists with the ability to approach business problems in an analytical and systematic manner, using appropriate information technology to provide information support for business decision-making. It combines a study of management and computing subjects with the merging of business and decision-making processes, and provide students with skills that give them the flexibility to adapt to future developments.
Academic Qualification Requirements
Candidates from any one of the following categories:
Passed in/Appeared for 10+2 from any recognized Central/State Board of Higher Secondary Education, under 10+2 system in India/Bangladesh/Nepal/Bhutan/Srilanka/Myanmar.
Passed in/Appeared for Intermediate or 2-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University.
Passed in/Appeared for Final Exam of the 2-year Course of the
Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.
Passed the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with minimum five subjects as per CBSE Scheme.
Extra Curricular Activity
As per industry requirements, a comprehensive course on “Grooming-o-logy” will be conducted, during which a student will learn the basic intricacies of the following at no extra cost:• How to carry oneself • Aspects of proper grooming • Dress Sense • Body Language • Preparation for interview • Communication skills both oratory and written.
Assessments
Every semester, students shall have to take a written examination conducted by the West Bengal University of Technology. This would be supplemented by internal examinations and application project assignments.
5% of the seats are reserved for NRI/Sponsored candidates.
The admission enrolment fees is Rs. 30,000/- (which can be paid in cash or by Demand Draft, payable in Kolkata, favouring Sylvan College of Management Studies).
